We were talking on Skype to our daughter in Oregon and had just gotten finished when we decided to look through our Skype contacts and lo and behold, an amazing family from Pohnpei was on Skype. We quickly had to figure what time it was there, as they are about 18 hours ahead of us, when we knew it was an o.k. time to call them we decided to try.
We called the Albert family, in Mand( pronounced Mont), Pres. Albert is the branch president there and he has the most amazing family. We really were blessed to work with 2 of their children, Jessica and Weider, I taught them piano for a while, and applied for a keyboard for them, from the Harmon Grant, and they got it.
They never missed an Institute class, and were always helping the missionaries teach less active members and investigators.
Jessica even taught Seminary for the younger, seminary age, kids.
Both Jessica and Weider have received mission calls. Jessica arrives here in 1 1/2 weeks to go the MTC in Provo, and Weider arrives in March. We can't wait to see them again.
It was great to visit with them for a few minutes on Skype tonight.
I am so grateful for the technology that allows us to talk to people we love that are half way around the world.
What a great blessing this was for us tonight.
