It has been way to long since I wrote on my blog. My life has been a little crazy.
I still have the great joy of being able to serve in my church as the Young Woman’s President in my church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What amazing Young Women they are. So eager to do what is right, and have so many struggles. Oh how I love them, Oh how the Lord loves them. They are His treasures and I feel the weight every day of the responsibilities and trust He has placed in me to lead and guide them back to Him. I love Him, I know He lives, I love His Son, Jesus Christ, I know He lives and loves us so much. Praise and Gratitude to God for sending Him.
Back in October The Church announced changes to the youth program. It has been so much work to get it going, so much prayer, seeking to do things the way the Lord wants it done, and not my way. The new program was implemented in January 2020, with so many changes, Good changes, that if the Youth and there parents will embrace, it will so help the Youth to grow closer to God and prepare them to stand Strong in the World they live in.
This is the Youth Guidebook. Each Youth will set 8 goals each year, 2 in each of the 4 areas of focus/ growth; Spiritual, Physical, Intellectual, and Social. No one tells them what to set as there goals, they prayerfully look at these 4 areas in there life and decide for themselves, what they need to work on in each area. So the goals are different for each girl, personalized just for her. If they will have the Faith and Courage to set and work on there goals, they will grow so much.
Catching up on Alan and I, Alan had a bad fall from a ladder back on November 5, 2019, as he and I were putting up a new awning in the back yard, over our new deck. He broke 6 ribs in multiple places, separated his shoulder and now has partial paralysis in his left hand. He is still trying to recover and he still has at least 1 surgery ahead of him. He has a long road to recovery ahead of him, but I am very grateful he is alive, the Doctors have said, with all the internal damage he should have died, so we have seen many miracles and been so blessed by the Lord and we are very grateful for little progresses.
