All kinds of exciting adventures ahead!

Well so much for resting up after Heber Valley Camp Mission!  1 month ago I was asked to serve in a new assignment in our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, I have been ask to serve as the Young Women’s President. I did not see this coming.
For those who are not familiar with our church, I will be over a youth organization that consists of girls between the ages of 12 - 18. A lot of work. I really thought at my age, they did not ask you to do this kind of thing, but I guess if the Prophet of God, can be 94 and running all over the world to serve, I can take care of about 45 young women.
I must say as scared as I am of this responsibility, I do love the girls and I know the Lord loves His daughters. They are amazing, so strong, so good, so kind in a world that is not that way. They teach me things every day, I know I am here because I need to learn so much, and what wonderful teachers I have, these amazing girls.
I thought it might be fun to share my adventures with the young women.

It has been a long time..............

It has been a long time since I wrote in this blog.  We just finished our 2nd mission, for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.  We served at a camp, as church service missionaries, it was a very physically challenging mission. We served for 18 months, you can read all about it on the “Livin the missionary life at the Heber Valley Camp” blog.
So what now?  We are going to stay home for a while, rest up, finish the next 18 months of cancer treatment and enjoy our family.
We now have 11 grandchildren, 12 in a few weeks. We love them and enjoy spending time with them.
I have been ask to serve in the Young Women’s organization in our church, I serve with the 14/15 year old young women.  I love it, they are wonderful, our future is bright.
We got to go and spend a week with our daughter Carrie and her family in Oregon, we miss them so much, but the love it there and they are doing so well.
Life is good, we are learning and growing. We are so blessed by the Lord.
